American restaurant chain First Watch has entered into a multi-unit franchise agreement with VIM Holdings to develop five units in the Raleigh-Durham market in the next four years.

The store opening program is part of the chain's strategy to expand the brand retail network.

The first restaurant is expected to be opened in late 2014 in the Raleigh market, with each restaurant employing over 25 people.

First Watch president and CEO Ken Pendery said Bob Frame is a proven restaurant operator with a tremendous amount of experience and success leading some great concepts.

"We look forward to working with Bob and his group to bring our unique fresh approach to Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch to his home market of Raleigh-Durham," Pendery added.

First Watch restaurants feature an interior design that maximizes natural light during daytime, as well as an open-kitchen concept.

The brand's restaurants serve its entire menu seven days a week from 7am until 2.30pm.

First Watch presently operates more than 115 restaurants in 16 states. Additional outlets are under development as part of the Bradenton, Florida-based company's aggressive growth strategy.
