The title of "Pepper King" was fought for this weekend for the first time in the Chinese province of Hunan. The participants squat in a bath of peppers and have to eat as many chilli peppers as possible in a minute.
The winner war Mr Su from Hunan. He managed to eat fifteen peppers in a minute and this gave him the title and a 24 carat gold pepper.
Amazing, although he came nowhere near the man who won the contest in Yunnan last year. He managed to eat 47 chillis in two minutes and his bath wasn't filled with normal peppers, but chilli peppers.
