Verallia North America, a manufacturer of glass containers for food and beverage industries, has introduced a new line of yogurt glass jars in the US.

The new line features four and six ounce capacity single serve yogurt glass jars.

The yogurt glass jars are a new addition to the company's existing range of dairy glass packaging products. They feature a proprietary sealing primer that allows the commercial yogurt producers to utilize traditional foil heat seal lids and induction heat sealing equipment to address the current FDA requirements for proper packaging closure, said the company.

Verallia North America Food, Beverage & Spirits vice president and general manager Phil McPherson said the glass jars have been developed using significant resources.

"Our yogurt glass jars offer commercial dairies and food producers a new healthy packaging choice that can give them an edge in this competitive market," added McPherson.
