On August 1, 2013, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) publically announced its Draft Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Additives) Third Amendment, 2013. This proposed amendment contains several regulatory changes to the use of food additives in India. The final date for comments is September 5, 2013.

This amendment will be included in the International Food Additive Database when it is established and in effect.
