For more than 40 years the wholesale company has traded with fruit, vegetables and exotic fruit from all over the world. Erdal Kaplan is a trader and has been working for bunnfrucht for 24 years. He states: “The company bunnfrucht is one of the leading wholesalers in the Rhine-Main area. We have a strong focus point on the direct import of fruit and vegetables.”
The company gets its product from several countries in the world. “Our produce is imported from Turkey, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands and Belgium. German produce is also in high demand and very popular now,” continues Kaplan. The fruit and vegetables is imported directly from the countries they are grown in – without the middlemen.”
All products 365 days of the year
The passionate wholesaler calls himself a "sales talent." He knows what customers want: “Whatever the customer wants bunnfrucht delivers the goods. The classical seasonal products don’t exist anymore. We have all products, 365 days of the year. That is our goal.”
“Our customer base keeps on growing,” explains the wholesaler, “We supply several restaurants and caterers, wholesalers and local and national supermarkets with our products.” The products can be collected at bunnfrucht or the customers can use the companies own delivery service.
Some of the favorite brands of bunnfrucht are "Carmen", "Usia", "Der Flieger" and "Bonny", states Kaplan. Strawberries and raspberries are sold under the own bunnfrucht brand.
Traditional company
The traditional company in Frankfurt operates under the name bunnfrucht since1979. Today the wholesaler employs about 50 people. Since 2013 the management team exists of Jürgen Gärtner, René Jurk and Thomas Nassal.
