Looking at 2016, the important factors that will impact China's agricultural market operation are as follows: the adjustment of agricultural structure, less stock of the bulky products, changes in consumer demand & international prices. National vegetable plantation acreage is expected to be more stable, thus the market supply will be more adequate. Due to the plantation cost increase, it is expected that vegetable prices will slightly increase.

In 2015, China continued to increase its fruit production, especially apples and bananas. With more supply in the fruit market and significant increases in fruit imports volume, the trade deficit is estimated for a rapid expansion, therefore in the year of 2016, fruit prices are expected to reach a lower level, and an alert should be given to certain fruits with potential risk of difficulty in selling.
