Terrence Thomas has been named president of AarhusKarlshamn USA Inc. and as member of the AAK Group Management, effective March 25. He succeeds Hal Grant, who had been serving as interim president of the business.

Mr. Thomas is a veteran of the food ingredients industry, most recently with Ingredion, Inc., and its predecessor company, National Starch. His most recent position was vice-president of North America strategy and general manager of ingredient solutions. Earlier, he was National Starch’s vice-president and general manager for North America, and prior to that, vice-president and general manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and vice-president and general manager for Latin America and South Africa.

He received a bachelor’s of science degree from Clarkson University and a master’s degree in business administration from DeVry University’s Keller Graduate School of Management.

“Terry comes with significant general and senior management, commercial and operational experience in the U.S. and internationally within the food and the food ingredients industries,” said Arne Frank, chief executive officer. “I believe Terry will be a great addition to the AAK Group management team, and we expect him to significantly contribute to taking AAK USA to the next level.”
