The new menu items include both new flavors and the return of a few fan favorites.
Burger King Worldwide executive vice president and global chief marketing officer Flavia Faugeres said that following the success of the initial BBQ menu last year, the company wanted to expand upon its regionally inspired offerings and provide the guests with Summer BBQ flavors fresh off the grill.
"Burger King's unique fire-grilling cooking technique allows for us to create these various BBQ items in the traditional way they are meant to be made - over a flame," Faugeres added.
The new summer BBQ menu features Rib Sandwich; BBQ Chicken Salad; Memphis BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich; Carolina BBQ WHOPPER Sandwich & BBQ WHOPPER JR Sandwich; Carolina BBQ TENDERCRISP Sandwich.
Sweet Potato Fries; Buffalo Chicken Strips; Frozen Lemonade & Frozen Strawberry Lemonade; Chunky Cookie Made with OREO Pieces; OREO Shake; and OREO Sundae.
The new summer menu is available 21 May at participating Burger King restaurants in the US.
