Hickey has been elected Chair of the Board, effective from 1 September, and will continue to serve as CEO but he will relinquish the title of President.


Jerome A. Peribere has been appointed president and chief operating officer of Sealed Air and a director of the company from 1 September.

Peribere will report to Hickey and be responsible for the company’s operating businesses, supply chain network and new technology development

In March 2013 upon Hickey’s retirement, Peribere will assume the CEO position, and Hickey will step down as Chair of the Board but continue to serve as a director of the company.

Jerome Peribere, is a 35-year veteran of The Dow Chemical Companywho was most recently president and CEO Dow Advanced Materials.

In this role, he led the integration of theRohmand Haas acquisition and delivered significant growth and cost synergies, said Sealed Air.
