ZAKS Restaurants, serving the diners of Norwich and Norfolk in the American Tradition, plans to open 30 new outlets across the UK through franchise route over the next five years.

Zaks currently has two outlets in Norwich - on Mousehold Heath and Barrack Street - and a third in Poringland.

Zaks chief executive Ian Hacon told EDP24 the business that the company has spent 18 months chalking out the franchise plans, working with specialist franchising consultants Morgan and Blake, and the franchise team at law firm Ashton KCJ.

"We are keen to replicate our neighbourhood supplier network across each of our franchise regions," Hacon added.

"The business is at a stage where we have been through organic growth which went really well with the opening of the Poringland branch.

"The market research indicates there is a lot more potential in our product and we felt that franchising was the best route."
