American restaurant chain Dickey’s Barbecue has inked a multi-unit franchise deal in central California to open nine new restaurants.

Dickey's multi-unit franchise owners, Kevin Roche and Bryan Roche are planning to set up outlets in Fresno, Clovis and Hanford.

They are also scouting locations around Seaside and Santa Maria.

The move is part of the company's strategy to expand in domestic market and strengthen the brand portfolio across California.

Dickey's Barbecue Restaurants president and CEO Roland Dickey said, "We have a loyal following in California and appreciate the excitement our barbecue fans are creating across the state."

Dickey's presently has 32 outlets in California with another 18 now in development.

The fast-casual family-friendly concept operates over 300 outlets in 40 states.
