Starbucks has unveiled two new summer-themed cold foam tea lemonades, ‘Summer Sunrise’ and ‘Summer Sunset’.

The iced beverages are a refreshing, layered combination of tropical pineapple infusion and lemonade topped with a velvety cold foam infused with sweet Teavana Passion Tango herbal tea.

But customers will have to get ‘em before the sun goes down. Starting from 22 June, these beverages will be available in Starbucks stores in the U.S. and Canada just for a limited time.

The bold, new ready-for-social-sharing beverage duo comes in two different flavors:

‘Summer Sunrise’ is a cold foam tea lemonade that evokes the bright morning sun with tropical pineapple infusion and lemonade that's sweetened with classic syrup, topped with a velvety cold foam infused with sweet Teavana Passion Tango herbal tea (contains milk).

‘Summer Sunset’ is a cold foam tea lemonade inspired by dramatic sunsets, this beverage gets its deep pink hue thanks to the addition of Teavana Passion Tango Tea to the pineapple flavors and lemonade. It's also topped with velvety, sweet Passion Tango herbal tea cold foam (contains milk).

Keeping cool with cold foam

What is cold foam? Cold foam is a modern twist on the classic steamed foam, a hallmark of Starbucks coffee since the 1980s. Frothed cold instead of hot, cold foam is the perfect finish to cold beverages. Cold foam is created by blending nonfat milk until smooth, creating layers of creamy texture, all without added cream.

Starbucks offers customers a variety of ways to experience cold foam iced beverages, like Cold Foam Cascara Cold Brew, Cold Foam Cascara Nitro Cold Brew and Cold Foam Starbucks Blonde Iced Cappuccino.

Customers can also ask to add cold foam to their favorite iced beverages for an additional fifty cents. Starbucks beverages can be customized by using a variety of milk selections, combination of syrups and toppings.

A rainbow of refreshment

Summer Sunrise and Summer Sunset join the colorful line-up of refreshing drinks available at Starbucks. On Tuesday, Starbucks launched the new magenta-hued Mango Dragonfruit Starbucks Refreshers beverage available on the permanent menu in the US and Canada.

Other vibrant beverages include Teavana Passion Tango Iced Tea, Pink Drink, Violet Drink, and Serious Strawberry Frappuccino blended beverage.
