On June 5, 2013, China’s Ministry of Health (MOH) published a draft amendment to the National Food Safety Standard: Standard for Use of Food Additives. This proposal contains revisions to authorized food additives, maximum use levels, and food categories.

On June 6, 2013, the MOH published a food additive amendment in Ministry of Health Bulletin 2013 No.9. Revisions to food additive regulatory use levels and specification standards are found in the Annexes.

Both documents are only available in Chinese. Regulatory changes that have entered into force are currently being reviewed, translated and entered into the International Food Additive Database.
