"We often get asked for watermelon processing machines", reports Dutch machine manufacturer, ZTI, on its website. "This is a nice challenge. The structure of a watermelon requires extremely delicate treatment. This product is easily damaged."
The development of a new smart machine, the Watermelon Peeler, immediately appealed to the company. "It fits in exactly with our fruit processing machines range. The prototype is almost finished. We would very much like to test the machine in practice with a launching customer."
