Asparagus, zucchini's and average quality silverbeet are cheap. There are also reasonable prices for good quality Asian vegetables, beans, beetroot, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, carrot, celery, fennel, leeks, mushroom, and hard lines such as onions, potatoes and sweet potatoes.
The more expensive vegetables are brussels sprouts and eggplants as their season is ending. Avocados have also risen in price.
Most fruit is firmly priced and some are expensive, with lemons from the USA and Australia demanding top dollar, along with US grapes and Australian limes and passion fruit. Apples and bananas are to remain at a steady price along with mixed quality strawberries and good quality raspberries, naval oranges, honey dew, pears, pineapples, pawpaw and all Australian grown stone fruit.
The best fruit to buy at the moment are blueberries, mandarins, kiwifruit, rock melon and watermelon.
