More than 70% of apples in Kazakhstan are imported produce, therefore Kazakhstan is unable to cover its internal market demand for apples by domestic production.

Kazakhstan's apple imports are high even during the harvesting of domestic apples. Import volumes are almost similar with domestic production.

Poland exports high volumes of apples to Kazakhstan as it has a share of more than half of Kazakhstan's total imports.

There has been an increase in apple supply over the last 5 years with the internal production growing by almost 50%
