In the first half of 2015, Australian apple exports to China has increased by approximately 50%. From January to June, Australian apple export reached 1,157 tons, with a market value of 3.2 million Australian dollars (about 14.4 million Yuan). The unit price per apple has increased by 0.82 Australian dollars to 2.78 Australian dollars (12.5 Yuan). Australian apples have become more price competitive due to the depreciation of the Australian dollar. In addition, name and brand recognition is becoming stronger and their high quality is valued by Chinese buyers.

Tasmania has exported a total of 168 tons of apples to China. Tasmanian apples are mainly marketed by E-commerce sales channels, which are rapidly developing. A popular Tasmanian variety is the Tiger Fuji. China is the largest apple producer in the world. Imported apples can distinguish on the market by their quality, stable supply and related services.
