On August 1, 2013, Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) published a Gazette Notice with Amendment No. 142 to the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code. Amendment 142 includes revisions to Standard 1.3.3 on Processing Aids.

Australia and New Zealand’s food additive use regulations are included in the International Food Additive Database, though processing aids typically do not fall within the scope of the database.
