On August 6, Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) published an amendment (in Japanese) to their national MRL standard. The amendment includes MRL changes for benthiavalicarb-isopropyl, ethaboxam, flonicamid, formetanate hydrochloride, ipfencarbazone, novaluron, pyrimethanil, and simeconazole.

MRLs that are newly-added or revised to a less restrictive level have entered into force. For MRLs changing to a more restrictive level, Japan is implementing a six month grace period. These changes will go into effect in February 2014.
