This year the German Rewe group are planning to invest 1.6 billion Euro in the expansion and modernisation of their store network, reports the German website Focus.de.

The investment was announced by Rewe director Alain Caparros. Over the last year Rewe have already invested around 1.5 billion Euro, half of which was in Germany.
