How can technical data and information used in EFSA’s risk assessments be made available to the wider scientific community? How can EFSA make the risk assessment process more transparent? These are two of the themes that delegates will be discussing at the Authority’s stakeholder conference, entitled “Transparency in Risk Assessment”, on 3 October. The event, to be held in Parma, Italy, is part of an initiative aimed at ensuring transparency in the Authority’s decision-making processes. Proposals put forward at the conference will be considered by EFSA when it drafts its future policy on openness and transparency in 2014. The deadline for registration is 10 September.
