The group wants to open 600 click and collect stores by the end of the year and to target 800 in two years.

Leclerc has already opened 127 click and collect stores in 2012 and 174 in 2013. Pascal Payraudeau is in charge of these stores and tells the LSA that they have already signed up 150. By the end of 2014 Leclerc should have 600 click and collect stores and aim to have 800 by 2016, which would give the group a sufficient coverage.

Pascal Payraudeau was the first person to open a click and collect store for Leclerc in 2007 in Toulouse. Leclerc's President, Michel-Edouard Leclerc says, ''he did not invent the idea but he was the first to conceptualise and adapt it for independent groups to do something profitable with. The group owes a lot to him.''
