First it was ‘Down Down’, now Australian supermarket group Coles will deliver what it is calling ‘Deeper Down Down’ by cutting the price of popular Australian household brands even further, with savings up to 34 per cent off the original price.

Coles will also introduce over 50 new products to the ‘Down Down’ campaign.

“Coles’ commitment to lower prices for Australian families is stronger than ever,” said John Durkan, Coles Chief Operating Officer. “Down Down is a commitment that our customers trust, but we are constantly looking for new ways to invest even more into keeping the cost of living down,” he said.

Together with some of Australia’s most popular pantry staples brands, Coles will reduce prices even further, with discounts up to 34 per cent on brands including Nescafe, Lipton and Sanitarium.

“Down Down is a price commitment for six months, yet the new campaign highlights that this is simply a minimum requirement and in reality many products have been held at the lower price point for over two years,” Mr Durkan said. “Now, rather than the price heading back up again, Coles takes them even Deeper Down — because we know low prices make a big difference to our customers,” he said.

Fifty new products join Down Down list

In conjunction with the Deeper Down discounts, over 50 new products will join the list of over 1,400 other products currently on Down Down across Coles supermarkets. Golden Circle Fruit Juice (2L) will join the list from 26 February 2014 (was $3.59 now $2.70).
