Food Logistics announced that Locus Traxx Worldwide CEO, David Benjamin, was a recipient of its second annual “Rock Stars of the Supply Chain,” award. The award recognizes influential individuals in the food and beverage industry whose achievements, hard work and vision have shaped and continue to attain milestones in safety, efficiency, productivity and innovation throughout the global food supply chain. Mr. Benjamin received this award due to his advocacy for safeguarding the supply chain.

In October 2008, David assumed the role of President and CEO at Locus Traxx Worldwide to lead the global expansion of the first IoT product line focused on real-time monitoring of perishable and high-value products as they transit the world. “I am honored to receive this award in recognition of our determination to mitigate risks to the supply chain. Without proper protocols in place the supply chain is particularly vulnerable, putting millions of consumers at risk. Receiving this award validates our success and our momentum in the industry,” said Mr. Benjamin.

Under David’s leadership, Locus Traxx Worldwide has become one of the fastest growing companies in the technology sector. Growing revenue at over 260% in 2014 and another 200% in 2015, the company has captured a significant client base in both North America and Europe. David has been a frequent presenter at conferences across the country to educate companies on the FSMA Sanitary Transportation Mandate. “It has been our mission to not only prepare companies for what lies ahead, but to also provide high ROI solutions such as the SmartTraxx GO products for them to reach their goals of compliance as well as enhancing their overall revenue generation.

“Our industry benefits from the vision and dedication of early pioneers and contemporary entrepreneurs alike who understand the uniquely integrated relationship between people and the global food supply chain,” notes Lara L. Sowinski, editor-in-chief at Food Logistics. “This award is Food Logistics’ way of celebrating the talented trailblazers and inspirational mentors whose work deserves acknowledgement and appreciation.”
