On September 12, 2018, the National Health Commission issued a notice on two new food ingredients, namely, the Black Chokeberry and Nostoc Sphaeroides. The recommended consumption of Black Chokeberry is ≤10 g/day (in terms of fresh products); the recommended consumption of Nostoc Sphaeroides is ≤3 g/day (on dry basis).
According to the provisions of the Food Safety Law, the review organization gathered experts to review and pass the safety assessment materials for two novel food materials Black Chokeberry and Nostoc Sphaeroides. (National Health Committee)

On September 26, 2018, the National Health Commission announced the announcement of 14 new food-related products such as polyethylene.
