Armenian fruit and veg exports have doubled so far this year

 From the beginning of the year and up to July, Armenia has exported 101,492 tonnes of fruit and vegetables, compared to 56,856 tonnes in the same period last year. The volume has consequently almost doubled.

Of the fruits exported, apricots account for the largest share, with 44,131 tonnes, compared to 19,525 tonnes last year. Among the countries receiving fruit and vegetables from Armenia, Russia is the main importer, with 94,862 tonnes. Other destinations are Georgia, Belarus, Iraq, Kazakhstan, the United Arab Emirates, Iran, Belgium, Romania, Kuwait, Qatar and the United States.
