The value of Romania's fruit and vegetable imports totalled 691 million Euro in the first five months of this year. This is 6.5% more than in the same period last year, according to data compiled by the National Institute of Statistics and quoted by Agerpres.
 
Meanwhile, the value of exports amounted to 57.6 million Euro, 5.4 percent more than in the first five months of 2017, resulting in a deficit of 633.3 million Euro.
 
Between January 1 and May 31 2018, the value of FOB exports amounted to more than € 28.092 billion and increased by 8.8% compared to the same period in 2017. CIF imports totaled € 33.095 billion, up 9.3%.
