The price difference between domestic and imported fruits has narrowed. In autumn, the varieties supplied by the fruit market  increased and were characterized by diversification, regionalization and quality. The characteristics of fruits in other provinces are obviously stronger than those within the province, and they are intensely competing with imported fruits. While domestic and imported fruits have entered the market in Guangzhou and other Pearl River Delta counties, their market price differences have become smaller.

The South African orange is a product that has entered the local fruit market in recent years. However, its market price is not very high. For example, in a supermarket near Panyu Square, they go at 4-5 yuan apiece. Some fruit franchise stores sell them at a more expensive price of 6-7 yuan. Once the Gannan navel oranges in Jiangxi are on the market, there will be fewer people who purchase South African oranges. This also shows that the price difference between domestic navel oranges and imported South African oranges is shrinking, but market competitiveness is prominent.

The popularity of domestically produced fruits is constantly improving. Imported fruits are subject to the zero-tariff policy of China and related countries. The narrowing of the price difference is a trend. The traditional thinking that considers imported fruits to be of a higher quality also needs to be changed.
