During the first half of 2017 there has been a significant drop in the exports of fresh asparagus. According to the portal, Agrodata Peru, in this period Peru shipped 38,896,318 kilos of the vegetable for a value FOB US $ 146.305.462. The difference is evident compared to the 50,995,276 kilos exported in the same period of 2016 for a value of US $ 176,521,753.

According to the same source, the main destination of Peruvian asparagus in the indicated period was the United States, where placements were made for US $ 85,800,641. They were followed by the Netherlands (US $ 19,984,947), the United Kingdom (US $ 15,995,1999), Spain (US $ 10,792,827), Brazil (US $ 2,283,126), Australia (US $ 1,775,645), Japan (US $ 1,188,009), France (US $ 971,014) and several others with minor amounts that together totalled
US$ 5,639,351.

Complejo Agroindustrial Beta SA is included in the main exporting companies, with sales of US $ 20,746,000. Following them are Danper Trujillo SAC (US $ 19,656,000), Agro Export Ica SAC (US $ 7,881,000) and Sociedad Agrícola Drokasa SA (US $ 6,503,000).
