For reasons of consumer protection, Healthy Powerfood Gbr. is recalling a total of 5 varieties of sprouts with a shelf life up to and including 29.10.2018. it concerns the products alfalfa, salad mix, gourmet, 'for sandwiches' and summer sprouts.
Reason for the recall was the occurrence of verotoxin-forming E-Colli, which pose a health risk to the consumer.
The company, based in Worms, asks its consumers to dispose of these products immediately or to return them to the supermarket. Consumption of these products is very much discouraged, the company stated in a short message.
