The trade center is located in a new industrial park in Anyuan County, Ganzhou. This center covers an area of 32 hectares and the overall investment reached 820 million yuan [118 million USD]. Construction began in April, 2016. The trade center combines a national inspection center, e-commerce center, characteristic agricultural product distribution center, express delivery center, distribution center, and other related facilities in one large-scale market.
Ganzhou is known as the "global hometown of oranges" and has the world's largest navel orange production area in terms of surface area with the world's third largest annual production volume. It is the largest navel orange production area in China. Anyuan County is the main navel orange production area in Ganzhou. Official data shows that the annual production volume of oranges in Anyuan County reached 250 thousand tons in 2017. Navel oranges accounted for 220 thousand tons of that volume. The annual production value of the navel orange industry in Anyuan County is 1.7 billion yuan [250 million USD].
