Roland Foods, in cooperating with the manufacturer of the product in Morocco, is voluntarily recalling some lots of Roland® Preserved Lemons because they contain undeclared sulfites. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the consumption of this product. They were distributed nationwide and in Canada to food distributors, food service customers, and supermarkets.

The recalled products are Roland® Preserved Lemons, lot number 20 and item number 61002 on the case label. The UPC numbers are item UPC number 4122461002, and case UPC number 10041224610023. There are 12 glass jars per case; each weighs 12.35 ounces. The Production Code is DA: 169Z P: 0618 that is ink jet printed on the jar lid.

The second recalled product is Roland® Preserved Lemons – BELDI, lot number 21 and item number 61002 on the case label. The UPC numbers are item number 4122461002 and case UPC number 10041224610023. There are 12 glass jars per case, each weighs 13 ounces. The Production Code is P: Q0303 that is ink jet printed on the jar lid.

If you purchased either of these products and are allergic to sulfites, do not eat it. Throw it away or take it back to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
