Ronald A. Chisholm, Ltd. of Toronto is recalling about 12,169 pounds of skinless pork belly products that were not inspected at the border. Without the benefit of full inspection, a possibility of adverse health effects exists.

The product is a 40 pound cardboard box “FLANC PORC, PORK BELLY.” The products were produced and packaged from June 27 to July 20, 2017. The products have the case code 815157 and the establishment number “10” inside the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) mark of inspection. They were shipped to restaurants in Hawaii.

The problem was discovered by FSIS while conducting routine “failure to present” monitoring activities. the products were distributed to a single distributor and three federal establishments. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to the consumption of this product.
