At a temporary storage warehouse in the Pskov region, a state inspector of the North-Western Interregional Directorate of Rosselkhoznadzor, during quarantine phytosanitary control, found berries with signs of infection with strawberry anthracnose. The 11.5 tons of strawberries were transported by road from Serbia from St. Petersburg.

Laboratory studies carried out by specialists of the North-Western Branch of the FGBI "ARRIAH" found that strawberries are infected with the causative agent of strawberry anthracnose (Colletotrichum acutatum Simmonds). The strawberries were returned to the sender.
