China exports organic radishes from Bijie to Dubai
Two 15-meter long refrigerated trucks left Zhuchang Town in the Qixing District of Bijie City on Jan…Two 15-meter long refrigerated trucks left Zhuchang Town in the Qixing District of Bijie City on January 27th, 2019. The trucks were loaded with 50 thousand kg of Bixiu brand white radishes. The trucks were headed for Shenzhen Port where their cargo was transferred to a ship destined for Dubai. This is the first time that large radishes from Bijie have been sold abroad.
These large radishes are in great demand in the markets of Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, and Guiyang. Biuxiu Vegetable Plantation Cooperation managed to secure an order from Dubai in the middle of January. The expected retail price is more than 4 yuan [0.59 USD] per 0.5 kg. That is twice the retail price of large radishes in the Bijie Market.
