According to the official website of the General Administration of Customs, on March 5, the Food and Drug Administration of the United States (FDA) released the Mitigation Strategy for Protecting Food from Deliberate Adulteration.

The purpose of the strategy is to help formulate and implement the Food Defense Plan (FDP) and provide the following guidance: 1. Understanding the content and importance of FDP; 2. Assessing shortcomings and taking corresponding measures; 3. Defining and implementing mitigation strategies for food production and processing, including food defense supervision, correcting deviations in food defense, and food defense verification; 4. Re-analyzing FDP; 5. Educate and train the personnel who implement the relevant measures; 6. Implement the record preservation requirements in FDP and implement FDP.
