In an interview with Russian journalists, Russian Ambassador to China Andrei Denisov said that cooperation between Russia and China in soybean supply should be carried out on the basis of expanding investment, and Russia's soybean export to China has broad prospects.

Denisov said: "Although our soybean exports last year, as far as I know, should actually double, but the foundation is very thin, originally about 450,000 tons, after an increase of about 1 million tons. For China's demand, of course, this is only a drop in the bucket. But the direction itself is very promising.

He pointed out that although Russian soybeans are cheaper because of their lower protein content than American or Brazilian soybeans, they do not contain any chemical additives. Therefore, the ambassador said that it was particularly popular in China, so it was used in the food industry, not for animal feed production.

The ambassador added: "This cooperation is ongoing, but it should be based on real investment. It should not be a one-off purchase, it should be an investment and cooperation in agricultural technology.
