Revenues from Tunisia’s fruit exports increased by 53.6% while quantities increased by 48.5%, in the current season. Between January 2 and November 14, 2018, the quantities of fruit exported reached approximately 35,087 tons or 88.042 million dinars (€26.6 mln), against 23,618 tons/57.301 million dinars (€17.3 mln) during the same period of the past season.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources and Fisheries explains this growth by the rise of exports to the Libyan market, which reached 24,942 tons during the season, i.e. an increase of 104% (40.2 million dinars against 14.1 million dinars in 2017).

In quantity in 2018, fisheries occupied the first place (9,746 tons) worth 26 million dinars against 6,361 tons in 2017 (a value of 15.5 million dinars), i.e. a rise in quantities exported by 53.2% and in value by 67.7%.
