In order to offer fresh and quality fruits and vegetables, Kaufland Bulgaria has partnered with producers from 16 agricultural regions in Bulgaria. Most of the production comes from farms in the regions of Plovdiv, Pazardzhik, Sliven, Blagoevgrad, Dobrich, Pleven, Haskovo and Veliko Tarnovo. The chain works with regional producers from Kyustendil, Razgrad, Targovishte, Sofia and Stara Zagora.

Currently, over 80% of the suppliers and fruit and vegetable producers that the company works with are Bulgarian.

Kaufland Bulgaria is working hard to increase the number of regional vegetable producers whose products it offers, creating a special place for them on its hypermarkets. In order to allow the customers to identify the regional production even more easily, each product's price label is accompanied by a brown heart with the words: "From our region".

Bulgarian products have always been a priority for Kaufland Bulgaria, and in 2019 the company sold 35 million kilos of domestic fruit and vegetables.
