The move is in response to growing demand of beverage and food firms across the US, West Europe and Asia-Pacific.

LycoRed Color global commercial manager Roee Nir said that the production expansion is a result of a growing global demand for LycoRed's natural beta-carotene colors, as well as supplying agreements with leading food and beverage companies.

"The trend of replacing artificial colors with natural food colors started several years ago, and now the increasing concern of consumers has led to their direct approach to major food and beverage companies," added Nir.

LycoRed claims that its newly launched Lyc-O-Beta Intense delivers higher color intensity for orange-colored beverages, by reducing colorant usage-and therefore higher cost effectiveness-for the customers.
