Arriving just in time for the BBQ season, the new sauces will join the existing Colman’s Sauces range, comprising Smokey BBQ, Garlic Chilli and Chilli Mango flavours, following on from the success of the launch in 2013.

Lola Danlos, Colman’s & Maille Dressings Brand Manager at Unilever UK, said: “The ‘Other Thick Sauces’ market is currently growing at a rate of 9.2% YOY, demonstrating the trend towards inspiring and exciting flavours at meal times.

“Our new sauces will tap into this demand and support the range by adding an increased variety of flavours.

“The two new variants reflect consumer demand for strong flavours within the Other Thick Sauces segment, in particular spicy formats.

“Both the Burger and BBQ flavour segments are currently in growth and tap into the most current host food occasions; burgers and BBQ.

“Furthermore, our new products proved incredibly popular during consumer testing, so were confident that they’ll drive incremental sales for retailers this summer.”

Colman’s Chunky Burger and Fiery BBQ Chilli will be packaged in line with the rest of Colman’s sauces range, in 150ml clear bottles with bright, colourful labels and flavour cues on pack.

Colman’s Chunky Burger and Fiery BBQ Chilli have an RRP* of £1.69 and are available in cases of 8.
