Clarisoy 170 may be used to replace dairy protein in neutral beverage applications with a pH of 7.0 or higher. Archer Daniels Midland Co. launched the soy protein ingredient, an extension to its Clarisoy line, at the Institute of Food Technologists’ annual meeting and food exposition going on in New Orleans.

ADM at its I.F.T. booth used Clarisoy 170 in a vanilla-flavored dairy replacement beverage. Recommended use level for the high viscosity Clarisoy 170 is less than 5%.

Other Clarisoy ingredients include Clarisoy 100 for low pH beverage systems; Clarisoy 110 for low pH shots, high-protein meal replacement beverages, and collagen replacement; and Clarisoy 150 for low pH beverage systems and coffee creamers.
