Wixon has introduced new menu solutions for the foodservice market to be showcased at The Flavor Experience conference in Newport Beach, Calif., Aug. 4 through 7. Crafted by The Wixon Foodservice Group, a team of seasoned flavor chemists, meat scientists, food technologists and Wixon’s corporate chef, Steve Padley, the menu concepts were developed in Wixon’s Innovation Center and from globally-sourced ingredients.

During several meals throughout the conference, Wixon seasoning blends that enhance the dishes served will be available to attendees. The offerings, which incorporate several of Wixon’s innovative signature flavor systems, include:

• Mediterranean Medley Blend – Poultry, beef, and lamb can benefit from this exotic rub, or use it in dips, dressings, soups, and baked goods. Cucumber, lemon, parsley, oregano, and dill can also give a unique twist to eggs and vegetables.
• Summer Sunrise Garden Blend – As a salad topper, mix for scrambled eggs, soup ingredient, spread, or bread seasoning, this concoction features several flavorful herbs. Parsley, basil, dill, thyme, and marjoram give it a fresh taste.
• Zesty Chili Verde Blend – This mix of green chili, tomatillo, onion, garlic, parsley, oregano, and cilantro is ideal for vegetables, as a mix for scrambled eggs, or as a flavor enhancer for sauces, dips, and dressing. Use this blend as a rub for proteins, too.

Wixon will also showcase its innovative seasonings at its pickling bar on Aug. 6, beginning at 6 p.m. during the conference’s Ultimate Flavor Festival celebration.

• Classic Garlic Kosher Dill Pickles are ideal in cocktails, for snacking, accompanying a deli sandwich, or serving with meats and cheese. Added garlic delivers a boost of flavor, along with sharp vinegar notes.
• Smoked Pickles are a spin on the traditional dill with a hint of smoke. Chop these seasoned pickles into a relish, blend with tartar sauce or use them with martinis.
• Spicy Jerk-Style Pickles are a signature taste of the Caribbean islands. These slightly spicy, sweet and tangy pickles are an exotic condiment for barbeque, hamburgers, grilled chicken, or just for snacking. The seasoning is fragrant with the flavor of allspice berries, peppers, garlic, and ginger.
