Chr. Hansen will be at the 2014 IFT Expo to support U.S. food manufacturers who want to make the switch to natural colors.

If you are considering replacing Yellow No. 5, Red 40 or any other synthetic color with natural alternatives and are wondering if and how this can be achieved, talk to Chr. Hansen’s dedicated team of natural color experts at the 2014 IFT Expo, booth 311, being held in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA June 22-24.

There you will have the chance to discuss the attractive alternatives to synthetic food colorings in the production of beverages, confectionary, ice cream, cheese, fruit preparations, cereals, snacks and other food categories.

Chr. Hansen, a global company, will be demonstrating a portfolio of vibrant natural color solutions, including:
•Ultra Stable Red: a range of bright and intense, vegetable-based beverage colors with outstanding stability
•Powerful natural alternatives to Yellow No. 5, based on carotenoids and vegetable juice
•A new natural red solution tailor-made for fruit-on-the-bottom yogurts
•Vivid natural blue/green colorings based on spirulina
•WhiteWhey: an innovative new cheese coloring solution providing cheese manufactures more value from the whey while maintaining a great visual appearance of the cheese

“Today consumers are asking for alternatives to synthetic colors in many of their food products. Chr. Hansen is pleased to offer manufacturers a solution when the need arises to formulate products with colors from natural sources. A wide range of solutions have been developed and are being presented at the IFT Expo this year. We invite everyone to stop by our booth and view these new innovations,” says David R. Carpenter, Group Vice President Americas, Chr. Hansen.
