Fibregum Crystal provides a range of advantages, according to the company, including transparency in clear beverages, is an excellent source of dietary fiber, is tasteless and odorless, and has a lower turbidity than other natural soluble fibers.
Health Canada has approved the classification of Fibregum as a “traditional dietary fiber” and not a “novel fiber.” The regulatory agency has said it has no objection to the sale of Fibregum as a dietary fiber for labeling purposes in Canada, according to Nexira.
The company also will introduce Oil-Ola at this year’s I.F.T. The ingredient is an olive oil extract with a guaranteed 3% hydroxytyrosol content, which is an antioxidant that naturally occurs in olives.
Oil-Ola is water soluble and suitable for functional foods and dietary supplements, according to the company.
