Sweet Additions acquires Primera Foods’ maltodextrin and syrup solids business

Primera Foods' maltodextrin and syrup solids business includes a 50,000ft2 facility in Cameron, Wisconsin, which produces natural and organic maltodextrins and syrup solids derived from rice, oat and tapioca. These products are marketed under the RiceTrin and Tapi labels.
Sweet Additions president and CEO Ken Valdivia said the acquisition will allow the company to instantly expand the ingredient offering to include grain-based natural, organic and GMO-free starch derivatives, and gives it a platform for further growth into value added grain-based sweeteners.
