Davisco Foods International has opened a new representative office and distribution center in Singapore.

This expansion, which will oversee a network of offices, will be headed by David Curta, director of international sales.

Davisco Foods noted that Singapore has one of the highest growth rates for dairy consumption in the world, which has created increased demand for high-quality whey protein ingredients and cheese varieties.

Davisco Foods International chief executive officer Jon Davis said that Singapore's advantageous geographical location helps provide Davisco with opportunities to better serve and expand its market in Asia.

The new Singapore expansion will complement Davisco's global position by joining offices already established in Geneva, Switzerland, and Shanghai, China, and distribution centers located in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and Tianjin, China.

Davisco Foods International is a privately held, family-owned, international cheese and food ingredient company headquartered in Le Sueur, Minnesota, US.
