MTR Foods has introduced in the Tamil Nadu Market a unique offering - exclusive authentic pounded range of masalas - keeping the Tamil Nadu consumer’s taste in mind.

According to a press release by the company, the state of Tamil Nadu is the biggest organised masala market in India. It is valued at Rs 712 crore and is growing at 23%.

The release adds that while most players in the state have been delivering masalas by using the grinding method of manufacturing, MTR is using best ingredients and following the pounding method.

The release claims that pounding is extremely important part of the manufacturing of masalas as it helps retain flavours and aroma. While the process is more expensive than the cheaper grinding technology adopted by other players, the company does it because it is the most authentic way to produce masalas, it adds.
