Ricante Hot Sauce has gained significant popularity in its home environs of Costa Rica for years. It is available in over 50 locations around the country, from coast to coast, but plans are to bring the hot sauce north to the States.

Available in local grocers and select specialty markets, Ricante Hot Sauce will be available in four flavors: Og Mango Caliente: a hot sauce with mango and kiwi with a heat described as “medium;” Piña Dulce: the least hot of the group, this mixes pineapple and mango; Fire Melons: mixes melon and kiwi with “a kick that will surprise most palates;” and Manzana Encendida: literally “apples on fire,” this sauce features mangos, apples and carrots to bring both heat and flavor.

The increasingly competitive sauce market includes Jungle Heat’s new line (pictured) made with natural cane sugar and boasting no calories or fat, plus vitamins.
