Agropur, an important player in the North American dairy industry, is pleased to announce that it has purchased Foremost Farms USA’s dry blending business. As a result of this transaction, Agropur now owns the following brands: Reddi Sponge, PZ 44, Econo Bake, Dairy Bake, Nutrimix and Baker’s Special. Main Street Ingredients, part of Agropur, will commercialise those brands.

According to Robert Coallier, CEO of Agropur: “The Ingredients Business is an important sector for the future growth of our organization in the US, and this investment, which is in keeping with Agropur’s strategies, will allow us to grow in the baking and blending industry,”.

Foremost Farms and Agropur will work together closely in order to ensure a smooth transition for customers so that orders, deliveries and billings remain on schedule. Reneck Cayen, Vice-President Ingredients stated: “Our focus will continue to be our customers, innovation and the ongoing development of our branded products.”

Main Street Ingredients is a leader in providing high-quality food ingredients to the dairy, nutritional and food processing industries. Applications include ice cream, frozen desserts, cheese, bakery, nutritional beverages, confections and more. In addition to providing innovative concepts for private-label nutritional customers worldwide, Main Street Ingredients is recognized for its functional brands: Keystone, Cornerstone, Capstone and Gemstone.

With sales of $3.6 billion, the organization is a source of pride for its dairy producer owners and its 5,700 employees. Agropur processes close to 7 billion pounds of milk per year in its 25 plants across Canada and the United States.
